If we remember Hercules Season 3 Armageddon Pt. 2 Iolaus is sent back in time to save Alchmene from Callisto (she was trying to make it so Herc was never born) Well Callisto succeeds at first and when we return to the current present we see what would have happened if Xena was never stopped pillaging and took over EVERYTHING. We see that Gabrielle, even after everything is destroyed and oppressed, fights for the greater good as a freedom fighter against Empress Xena she isn’t driven by vengeance but is hardened by all of her misfortune and is still a beacon of hope for people in need.
